With the desire to bring nature into the home, the team at AVA Architects designed an open space that creates a direct connection between people and the surrounding environment. The main spaces of the house all face the sea, offering a relaxing view for the homeowner. Flexible glass doors allow for optional opening and closing, ensuring the space is filled with natural light and sea breezes, while maintaining ventilation and comfort, especially during the rainy season when coastal winds intensify.

A major challenge faced by the architects was that the plot only had one main facade, similar to the common tube houses in Vietnam. However, the AVA Architects team carefully analyzed the climatic factors and site characteristics to come up with creative solutions to optimize light, wind, and living space. The living areas on the first floor and the garden were elevated, freeing the view for interior spaces and creating a sense of openness, instead of being blocked by rigid boundary walls like in typical urban houses.

The living room and outdoor living area are positioned at the front of the house, allowing the homeowner to fully enjoy the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Skylights and greenery are cleverly arranged in spots that capture cool breezes and light, providing a pleasant and nature-connected atmosphere. No matter where one stands in the house, the movement of sunlight throughout the day and the refreshing sea breeze can be felt.

On the second floor, living spaces are connected through a corridor next to the skylight, where natural light and sea breeze are ever-present, creating an open and vibrant living space. Every step along the corridor is a new experience, with light, wind, and ocean air enveloping the house.

The Sunrise House is not just a house, but an ideal living space where people can enjoy a connection with nature and space, creating a harmonious and inspiring lifestyle.
